About the Casino
On September 27, 2007 Casino Dene first opened its doors to the public and has continued to develop into one of the premier entertainment destinations in the Lakeland.
The casino started as a vision of the Denesuline (Chipewyan) Tribe of Cold Lake First Nation. Their goal was to provide an economic development plan to foster opportunity and advancement for the First Nation people, which turned into a reality through an agreement with the Alberta Gaming and Liqour Commission.
The Casino offers customers 14 table games with up to $1000 maximum betting limits and 170 slot machines.
Since the start of this Project, the Cold Lake First Nations have donated millions of dollars to various charities and non-profit organizations.
Casino Dene is located on reserve lands of Cold Lake First Nations just 7 km south of the City of Cold Lake. It is located 300km Northeast of Edmonton, and there are several neighbouring communities within a 30-45 minute drive.
